No more open applications - this system has not worked very well for us. It's too much like a job app, we're all busy with our own goals in game and getting people into runs can be very difficult. We will be considering all current applications, but at this point, we will be closed to future applications.
*Each player of Member status (Which should be awarded after roughly a month of active play time and good standing in the guild) can refer a potential recruit at a time. When that player leaves initiate status, the referring player may refer another player.
*Initiates had better be on their best behavior, we can teach skill and obtain gear, but we can't fix ass-hattery. We will be using a one-warning system. If an officer takes exception to an initiate's behavior, they will speak with them and let us know on the O boards (this would also reset the initiate's 30 days of good standing.) If they screw up again while still an initiate, they're done.
*An offense, in general terms, would be related to a poor attitude. Loot Whoring, inability to get along with guild members, or anything else that makes an officer question why we want someone who "acts like that" in the guild. As stated above, we can teach skill, so accidentally causing a wipe is not an offense, but refusing to learn from your mistakes would be.
The structure of it gives me that hardcore feeling that I don't like, but the underlying sentiment is what we're after. It isn't structure for structure's sake, elitism, or a need to feel in control. We're drawing a lot of attention on the server now it seems, and it will be important to keep our guild identity which has made this guild something we've all been so proud to be a part of over the past two-plus years.
