Hey guys and gals, we've been talking on the O boards about what we would like seeing happening now, and in the future for raid sign ups. When we get 10+ people together - we have to make sure that our time is best spent, so that people aren't waiting around, and we get the best results out of our raid. Here is a bit of what Stumbleduck was working on - it's spot on what we would like to see.
Raid Signups
Due to some concerns about a raid of people standing around waiting on one or two people to show up before we start a run, we have decided to set up a schedule to get these runs off the ground faster so that we can mow more bosses and/or finish earlier. I'm sure most of this stuff is habit for us, but we're laying out a timetable and such so that everybody is on the same page.
You should be online on the character you intend to raid with by 15 minutes after formup. At that point, if the raid is not full, we will begin taking people off of the waitlist. People who were not online and missed their invite will be moved to the waitlist. If you are going to be late, put that in your notes when you signup on raidspace or let an officer know and we will try to work something out.
You should be at the instance by 20 minutes after formup if at all possible. If you think you might be a bit late on raid day, start in that direction the night before, maybe even log off at the entrance. It holds up the show when we have to leave people outside to summon, not to mention puts a strain on your friendly neighborhood Warlocks' shard stockpiles.
You should have all consumables with you that you need to start the raid including potions, poisons, shards, buff reagents etc. with fully repaired gear. Everyone forgets sometimes when they're in a hurry. If you show up without something, send a tell to someone of your class to find out if you can get by without it, or if they brought some extras that you can borrow. We supply healing and mana potions when we can from the guild bank.
We will begin buffs at 5 minutes to pull, and raid makeup permitting, we start pulling at the scheduled time. Anybody that is missing buffs should send tells for 30min buffs and wait on the next pally buff cycle unless there is one that is critical for you to have. For example if Stumbleduck is missing Salvation, I will send a tell to pallys until I know which one is on Salvation (the rest of them aren't really essential to rogues.)
Feel free to leave any comment/questions/concerns on this!
