Alright folks another foray into Karazhan! Great job on Sunday and lets keep it goin. plan of attack for Thursday will be to take out Attumen, Moroes, and Maiden if possible. This will leave us with starting off at Opera sunday and moving in as far as we can manage. hope to see you guys out there! www.raidspace.com/Raid.aspx?id=a43d9024-d967-4a90-bd9c-4b85414cc683Chee Chee

all I can say is -maybe- for this raid.
It will depend on how prepared I am for my test Friday early afternoon

I like the writeup. I think that it can probably be done without the shadow spec priest and just three healers. I'll have to see if I have any arcane resist gear in the bank. I've been a packrat lately, and I think it'll help to swap out some of my pieces for STA and AR so as to not be such a burden on the healies.

oh yea and I would strongly encourage everyone to download and use the 2 addons I posted in the Harb only area -- or at the least, Deadly Boss Mods (its > CTRaid)

Good and bad news here. My office is moving on Friday afternoon and when we move I get my own office with a window and right next to the exit so I can run like hell at the end of the day. Bad news - we are a 4 man/1 woman operation which means we are semi moving ourselves. This means that Thursday night I may or may not be stuck late at work. I can guarantee I will not be home for the start of the raid for sure though. I was really looking forward to having at the Event again too

I've also got a strat for the Curator which someone had mentioned to me, very interesting, I might add.
I'll call it Pyramid, as it was told to me.
Tank the boss in the same area as we normally do, but instead of splitting up DPS/Caster DPS from the Healers, we keep them together. We'll place Heals at the back, which we'll call the Pyramid base. Have them spread out, but within range of the tank and still holding a pyramid formation. In the middle of the group, put in the DPS. DPS will intercept the adds that spawn without having to run around from side to side putting them down.
The benefit in DPS intercepting is that the adds rarely ever go for the tank, if at all. Even if the add DID go to the tank, the DPS would only have to move a few steps, if any, to burn it down. Heals won't be hard to throw around, and we should be able to minimize any Arcane damage with some Resist gear (I will soon have the ability to make Mail and Leather Arc Resist gear, just as soon as I get Exalted with Scryer, which should be today sometime) I'll post up required mats for any parties interested in acquiring these pieces.
Finally, the tank does what the tank does best: Tanks! We could have either a Rogue or Warlock taking the Hateful Blast, but in my opinion, I say a Rogue. No mana to regen with continuous damage output happening. With the Warlock in DPS mode, he can stick closer to the rear of the DPS intercept group and burn the adds with little trouble and not have to continuously worry about his health dropping from the Hateful Blast.
Best of all, as we nuke the adds, we can all head in for DPS and better intercept their spawning as well since they have nowhere but straight through DPS to go.
Any thoughts on this strategy, or suggestions for improvement, I'd love to see!
Good luck Thursday!

here's what my roommates guild does:
Tank in middle of hallway w/ Curator
Melee behind him (spread out)
Casters/Healers behind Melee (spread out)
Basically this makes it so the adds ALWAYS go one direction -- through the melee to the Caster DPS/Healers, that way the melee can start shredding right away without having to do nearly as much chasing

Still feeling rough - not going to be able to stick out a Karazhan raid (slow reactions, and getting sleepy fast... not a great combo for a tank ). Kick some ass! I'll see ya out there next week.

Not a chance in hell I will make it tonight, I am sorry gang! I would be willing, perhaps, to lend out Avy to an officer if they needed her badly. I will think of you all with tremendous jealousy while I pack up my office
