Raid Signups:
Please be online on the character that you intend to raid with at the forumup time and ready for invite. At 15 minutes past formup time, invites will be sent to the waitlist to fill any open slots. People who were not online and missed their invite will be moved to the waitlist. If you are going to be late, put that in your notes when you signup on raidspace or let an officer know and we will try to work something out.
You should be at the instance by 20 minutes after formup if at all possible. If you think you might be a bit late on raid day, start in that direction the night before. Ideally, you would log off at the entrance. It holds up the show when we have to leave people outside to summon. The sooner everybody is there and inside, the sooner we can get buffed and moving. We will begin buffs at 5 minutes to pull, and raid makeup permitting, we start pulling at the scheduled time.
Raid Preparation:
Be sure to bring any consumables with you that you need including potions, poisons, soul shards, buff reagents etc. with fully repaired gear. Everyone forgets sometimes when they're in a hurry. If you show up without something, send a tell to someone of your class to find out if you can get by without it, or if they brought some extras that you can borrow.
If you are missing a buff, send a tell to someone of the appropriate class. They can tell you who is covering your group (or which Paladin is on that buff) or they will buff you themselves. It is disruptive to have people saying "Group 4 needs Int" or "I need salvation" in vent while we're trying to cover pulls or strategies. Typing your request in raid chat will often get missed as most people are concentrating on their role in the raid and relying on Vent for instruction, but tells stand out.
Raid Loot:
Drops that are not class specific will always be handled before drops that are class specific. For example if a 1h sword dropped and a token for a piece of t4/t5 set gear dropped, we would deal with the sword first. If more than one of either item drops, they will be handled in the order that they appear in the loot pane for the master looter.
We will be using the Ratio System for loot for all of the 25man raid content. I call the system "Havoc Ratios" because it was a system devised during the raiding alliance between our guild, VeA, and CoL (HVaC.) The system was designed to be friendly to new raiders and raiders who can only raid occasionally, while still rewarding those raiders who attend nearly every raid. There are some built-in measures to combat inflation also.
Due of the math involved in the system, we will be tracking instances with t4 token drops (Gruul's Lair, Magtheridon) separately from those with t5 token drops (Pretty much everything else.) For the health of the loot system (all loot systems IMO, but this one in particular) this points-flush is needed.
Beacause of to the small raid makeup of Kharazan and the high probability of getting a drop on a run, those drops will not be counted under this system.
The exact workings of the loot system are detailed in another post in the members-only area of the forums.
