Since i've come back i've found that people aren't as willing to group anymore. I don't know if it is just me, or if people are more tied up in the expansion, but the guild for me seems to lost some of the friendlyness that it had when i went away. This disappoints me greatly as i enjoyed that about Harbringers. I appreciate that i am on at wierd times sometimes and accept that, but if it's anything else tell me and i'll look to solve it.

If it makes any difference Tom, you are not the only one feeling this way. I wish I had answers, but I don't atm. <3

A lot of people are really involved with whatever their goals in the expansion are. We are also heavy on DPS classes compared to healers, with tanks somewhere inbetween.
If there's a run you really want or need, the LFG boards is a good place to get that organized. A lot of people are finding it's hard to say "Who's up for XX instance" and find a group. With a DPS class as my main, I often find myself grinding or soloing a lot too.
I think at least a significant part of it is the move from large instances to small ones. With an average of 3-4 bosses per instance and 8 or so lv 68+ instances as opposed to the 3 60ish instances in vanilla WoW with DM added later (and never really becoming popular) and UBRS as a 10man. Not to mention heroics, which basically means with revered in all the outland instance factions you're looking at another 15ish instances.
I think the friendliness is still there, but with so many different directions that people are going in, it'll be a while before the guild settles back down. I imagine we'll be back to the point where everyone is hanging out "down for whatever" after they've gotten all those shiny new prizes they were after. The guild was much like this around the time that we started accumulating a good number of 60s, but the difference was we were a bit more focused with fewer instances and factions to go after.
I hope that helps explain it a bit. I spend a good quantity of my time analyzing where we are, where we've been, and where we're going. That's the read I get from the situation. All that can really be done is to encourage people to mix it up a bit, try to run with people you don't normally run with. That and have more people come to the boards. Unfortunately, the people reading that message aren't the ones that need it. =p

I have noticed a bit of a problem getting groups at times. The other night I was looking for a group an got no one. Then about 90 minuted later, asked again and had a full group.
Another problem is that with a few of the instances that I noticed, group balance has been a major factor (cough cough black morass). I am gonna shoot for that this weekend.
If you see me on and you need help in any of the other instance, send me a tell. Some of the time with me you will get two people, others only one, but I will certainly try to lend a hand (and if you need I can try to heal, just not that great at it).
I can tell you that getting ready for a raid with a set time is alot easier than signing in and being up for a group. Having two kids with one of them seven months makes joining in a group hard at times.
I should be using the forums more to plan my groups ahead of time, but if you leave anything to me, well it may just not get done (ask Emena lol).
